Plants Are Growing

As the children walk into the classroom each morning the first thing they look at is our grow lab. What a surprise for the children this morning. Our plants, Brassica Rapa, are already budding and blossoming. They were amazed and excited to see the changes from last week.  On Friday, September 23,  there were some very small buds. On Tuesday morning, there were many buds and many blossoms. As the day went on many buds opened up.  Life can be wondrous.

Take Home Library

During the week of September 26th the children will begin to check out one book a day from my private collection of books. Please take the time to hear your child read the book a couple of times.  The more your child reads a book the more they will improve their fluency. Hopefully, your child will or has found a book that they love.  Once they have found a loved book they will be on the road for their success. The children should return the book to school the next day.

Fire Station

You probably have heard from your child that the fire station field trip was just a walk.  Fire Station 110 and many other fire stations were very busy fighting a fire in the Bella Vista neighborhood.   We are rescheduled for Wednesday, October 12th.
